To ensure this protection, THE ORGANIZATION agrees to collect, process and share information that identifies an individual only when that individual has consented to it, unless permitted or required by law, in which case your consent will not be necessary.

The Policy is intended to inform users of the reasons for, and the way in which, THE ORGANIZATION, or anyone acting on its behalf, will collect and use their personal information. It is written in plain language to ensure users can give informed consent.

It is not always possible, particularly in the context of a government request, to obtain an individual's consent to collect, use or disclose their personal information. We are committed to never disclosing this type of information other than in accordance with this Policy, unless required or permitted by law.

4. Purpose of data collection

Information is collected in accordance with the purposes and objectives set out in this privacy policy.

Here are some of the reasons we collect your personal information:

To respond to your requests: we collect and process the data needed to respond to a message sent through the contact form, a request for access to Le Concepteur, or a request for a conference for an association.

To provide and improve our content and services: data collected during your interactions with the site may be used to analyze and improve how our content, tools and services work.

To develop new content and services: data collected may be used for research and development purposes to offer new content, tools and services to coaches, players and parents. When data is used for analysis or improvement purposes, it is anonymized or aggregated wherever possible.

To evaluate our content and services: data is collected to gather information about the benefits, as well as the drawbacks, of our content and services, so we can evaluate and correct them if necessary, including through surveys.

To protect our users' privacy: the data collected allows us to verify the identity and protect the privacy of people who communicate with us electronically or otherwise.

To meet legal obligations: data is collected to meet obligations arising from laws, regulations or international treaties.

5. Personal information collected

THE ORGANIZATION may collect personal information in various forms, but will only do so through lawful means and only for the necessary purposes disclosed to you, as described in this Policy, or when permitted or required by law.

The personal information collected, as well as its sensitivity, may vary depending on the context of your interactions with THE ORGANIZATION. That is why our priority is to inform you of the nature of the personal information we use.

We protect all the personal information we collect. Among the personal information that may be collected and used, we pay particular attention to the following:

Name and contact information. First and last name, email address, name of the association or team, and other similar data used to communicate with you — mainly through the contact form.

Content of your messages. What you write to us: your role (coach, parent, player, association), your question or your request.

Interaction data. Data related to your use of the website and its tools. The site's interactive tools (the "My contribution" exercise, the avatar quiz) run entirely in your browser and save nothing on our servers.

Other examples of interaction data we collect include:

• Page views and usage data. With your consent only, aggregated data on pages viewed, visit duration and device type, through our audience measurement tool (Microsoft Clarity).
• Troubleshooting and support data. Data you provide when you contact THE ORGANIZATION for help, and other information that helps us resolve your issue.
• Location data. Data, which may or may not be precise, about the location of your device, such as a city or region name, inferred from your IP address by the audience measurement tool.

Accounts, subscriptions and payments. The turbo-hockey.com website has no user accounts and no payments. Access to Le Concepteur happens on the Loz Hockey platform (application.lozhockey.com), which is governed by its own privacy policy.

6. Purposes of data processing

Providing our content and services. We use data to operate the site and its tools, and to respond to your requests.

Improving content and tools. We use data to improve our content and tools, including by adding new features.

Developing content and services. We use data to develop new content. For example, we use information that we anonymize or aggregate to better understand the needs of coaches, players and parents.

Support. We use data to diagnose and resolve issues related to the site and its tools, and to provide other support services.

Helping keep the site secure and troubleshooting issues. We use data to help keep the site secure, detect malicious activity, and resolve performance and compatibility issues.

Communications. We use your contact information to respond to your messages. If we wish to send you promotional communications or a newsletter, we will first ask for your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Reporting and operations. We use aggregated data to analyze our activities and improve our decision-making process.

Protecting our rights and property. We use data to detect and prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and protect our property.

Legal compliance. We process data to comply with the law, including to help individuals exercise their data protection rights.

Privacy incidents. In the event of a privacy incident involving a risk of serious harm, THE ORGANIZATION is committed to notifying the individuals concerned, as well as Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information, in accordance with applicable legislation.

• using recognized providers that meet high security standards.

Despite these measures, no system is completely secure, and some risk remains when transmitting data over the internet.

8. How to access and control your personal information

THE ORGANIZATION ensures that all personal information in its possession is as accurate, current and complete as necessary for the purposes for which it is used.

You have the right to request access to your personal information for verification purposes and to request a correction if it is inaccurate. If you believe your personal information is inaccurate, or if you would like to access it, you can submit a request using the contact information provided at the end of this policy.

To the best of our ability, we will provide you with timely access to your personal information. However, as a security measure, we may need to verify your identity.

There may also be circumstances where we cannot give you access to your personal information, particularly when access could lead to the disclosure of another person's personal information and that person refuses to consent to its disclosure, or when legal restrictions apply. If such a situation arises, we will explain why we cannot give you access to your personal information.

If your request concerns data appearing on third-party web pages or platforms, please contact those third parties directly.

Processing time. We are committed to responding to any request for access, correction or deletion of personal information within a maximum of 30 days of receiving the request.

Right to data portability. You have the right to request that your personal information be provided in a structured, commonly used technological format, where applicable.

9. Sharing personal information with third parties, and why

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of THE ORGANIZATION, except for our authorized providers and partners who need access to the information for the purposes listed in this policy and within its limits, as well as in the following cases:

• For storage on cloud servers, in which case personal information may pass through third-party jurisdictions. Please note that we only use the services of reputable companies with privacy policies in place. Some of our service providers may be located outside Québec or Canada. In such cases, your personal information may be transferred and hosted in other jurisdictions, where it will be subject to applicable local laws.
• For external processing needs: we share personal information with other trusted companies or individuals who process it on our behalf, following our instructions, in accordance with this privacy policy, with a level of data security at least equivalent to our own and in compliance with any other appropriate security and confidentiality measures.
• For legal reasons: we disclose personal information outside our company if access to it is necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

THE ORGANIZATION is committed to never selling or renting your personal information to a third party.

The turbo-hockey.com website does not place any cookies until you have responded to the consent banner. On your first visit, this banner lets you accept or decline audience measurement. 11. Retention of personal information

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. During the retention period, THE ORGANIZATION takes physical and technical measures to ensure the security of data containing personal information.

The main places where personal information is stored are the cities where THE ORGANIZATION has offices or facilities, and the cities where the web host has servers containing the data collected by THE ORGANIZATION.

Personal information may be stored outside the country in which you live if a third-party provider or other entity to whom we disclose personal information under this Policy is located outside the country. In such cases, personal information may be subject to the local laws of the countries or territories in which the information is collected, used, disclosed or stored, and the government authorities and law enforcement authorities of those countries or territories may have access to it.

Once the retention period has expired, personal information is destroyed. Only statistics or reports containing depersonalized and anonymized data may be retained for extended periods.

Changes to these rules. We make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any reduction in your rights under this Privacy Policy will not be applied without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the latest changes were made. If the changes are significant, we will post a prominent notice on our website.
